hello!  another cold day....but with a bit of a difference.  Today there was sunshine....and it was a welcome sight  

I'm really enjoying my new job.....all the people I work with are just beautiful.....and the patients are on the whole lovely.  I got a big hug and kiss from a patient on Tuesday....and a block of chocolate.  He must be very grateful for the treatment he's getting.  He had tears in his eyes....it was such a lovely surprise.  He made my day.

I've got to get my car brakes fixed tomorrow.  Yuk - I bet it costs me a fortune.  Still, it needs to be done.  I don't want to have an accident.

Hello! This past week has been fun......school holidays have made the roads much less congested and I actually got to work half an hour early last Tuesday morning. So I drove five minutes down the road and took some lovely pictures from Williamstown beach towards the city. It's been foggy every morning, this week, on account of the chilly weather. So pretty driving to work....mist in patches here and there....and whole huge clouds of fog as well. I love fog!! Not too keen on driving through it however! Luckily it wasn't THAT bad on the road!

 wow....what a week I've had so far......started a new job on Monday!  it was amazingly busy compared to my last job.  I'm now officially a medical receptionist - hooray!  i am learning my new trade in Williamstown (about an hours drive away) at a place called Heartwest.  Mark, Elissa's hubby works there, and it was through him that I got my interview and subsequently the job.  They have three practices in the Western suburbs - hence the name.  I will eventually be working at their St Albans rooms....but it's incredibly busy there and they didn't want me to go there to begin with (they were afraid I'd resign after my first day!!!)  Now that I've done two days I can see what they meant.....it's pandemonium there when there are a few patients waiting to be served.  We are a couple of girls down at the moment, which makes for a hectic and busy work day.  I am enjoying the new challenge however, and if my brain is able to remember all the keyboard shortcuts I'm being taught, then I'll be a fully fledged secretary in no time.  at least, thats the plan anyhow..............

 Today was cold and wet......just right for sitting in front of the heater.  It was my last Friday of 'freedom' as I'm beginning work next week.  I am so looking forward to this job....as being a medical receptionist is something that has always interested me.   If you really want to know the truth, I am still pinching myself that I've got the job, just shows you it's not what you know but who you know!  Egad....I hope I don't disappoint them!

I took Laura and her big friend Adele to their dancing lessons tonight.  It will be Laura's last time as I can't keep taking her on account of work.  It was their last practice before their concert next week.  I'm not too sure how Laura will go....she is so much like me in so many ways.  I can just imagine her getting stage fright.  Last year for her kinder concert she burst out crying....I hope for her sake she is able to enjoy the experience.  She looked so cute all dressed up in her costume tonight.
